India wins U-19 Asia Cup

India won the U-19 Asia Cup title by defeating Sri Lanka by 9 wickets in the Duck of Worth Lewis rule on Friday.

India had set a target of 102 for victory in the rain-affected game in Dubai, UAE. Batting in reply, India completed the target with a loss of 1 wicket.

Sri Lanka, who had won the toss and elected to bat, had scored 71 runs for the loss of seven wickets before the rain stopped play. After the rain stopped, Sri Lanka lost 9 wickets in 38 overs and scored 106 runs.

According to the Duck of Worth Lewis rule, India had a target of 102 runs. Earlier, India had beaten Bangladesh and Sri Lanka had beaten Pakistan in the semifinals.
